Install the launcher
Run the installer you downloaded. It adds Project Chaos to your desktop and Start menu.

Choose your client folder
Open the launcher and press Locate game. Pick the folder that contains
Wow.exefrom your 3.3.5a client. - 3
Set the realmlist
Open
Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf(orenGB) in Notepad and replace its contents with this line:set realmlist logon.projectchaos.gg - 4
Press Play
Log in with the account you created on the site, not your email, and choose the Project Chaos realm.
Good to know
Windows says it protected my PC. Is the launcher safe?
The launcher is new and not yet code-signed, so SmartScreen does not recognise it. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only download it from this site.
Where do I get the 3.3.5a client?
Use your own copy of World of Warcraft 3.3.5a, build 12340. Ask on our Discord if you need help finding a working client.
Can I play without the launcher?
Yes. Set the realmlist shown above and start Wow.exe yourself. You will miss automatic patches, so custom spells and items may not show correctly.
Is it free?
Project Chaos is free to play. The store only sells cosmetics and services, never power.
